Looks like another silent night
I always found this song so perfectly appropriate for our country at this time. Jesus is indeed coming again and coming soon, apparent by the way we see Bible prophecy rapidly unfolding before our eyes. But so many Americans don't see it. They do seem to have been lulled to sleep by philosophies that take us away from the Word of God. Many do indeed think it more moral to save the planet than to save innocent babies. They think it more enlightened to ignore the "old ways", even if those old ways are the Words of God! God repeatedly told us how much he HATES the killing of innocent life. But a sign of the times described in scripture is that people will exchange the truth of God for a lie and will worship and serve created things rather than the Creator Himself (Romans 1:25). Why can't people see?
In this country many have also been lulled into believing it more moral and loving to accept the homosexual's behavior to the point that it is elevated to the status of "normal" to be taught to our grammar school kids and to the status of God-ordained marriage. The homosexual's rights are even glorified to a status greater than the average person! Their "rights" trump those of Bible-believing Christians with employee non-discrimination legislation and hate crimes legislation. Never mind that God said homosexuality was an abomination and that we in future times were to use Sodom and Gomorrah as an example! But do we take heed of His warning? Homosexuality is an act; it is not a person. Love the person; hate the sin. Homosexual behavior is a sin, and although the person may be tempted by this kind of lifestyle, he can surely overcome. No temptation is given to man that he can't overcome through the blood of Jesus Christ! But just as a murderer must ask for forgiveness and REPENT (change from his murderous ways) or as a thief must repent or adulterer or liar or gossiper, etc., etc., so must the homosexual. An effeminate man drawn to another man is not a homosexual until he acts on those feelings in a sexual way! It is no sin to have temptations! We ALL suffer temptation in our particular area of weakness. Even Jesus was tempted by Satan! It's what we DO with that temptation that matters! But American people have been lulled into thinking they are being more open-minded and more loving by accepting and thus enabling homosexual behavior.
The apostle Paul described in great detail in the first chapter of Romans what would happen. The wrath of God would be revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness. God has shown Himself clearly, so they are without excuse. They knew God, but they glorified Him not, they weren't thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish hearts were darkened. How much clearer can it be? We know God's Word but we give no glory to it at all. We ignore it and think we have become so enlightened, when in actuality, we have become fools! Romans 1:22 goes on to sum it up exactly that way: Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools! And they changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man. Because they changed the truth of God to a lie, God gave them up to their vile affections, for even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And also the men abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. And knowing the judgment of God, that they who commit such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but have pleasure in them that do them. Those scriptures should send a chilling shock down the spine to think how flippantly we ignore God's warning!! He speaks not only to the people who do these things, but to those who approve of those who practice them!!
Obama tells us the new morality is to save the earth and share the wealth to give to the poor. Taking from the rich to give to the poor is still TAKING, and therefore STEALING. God's system of tithing would go a long way in taking care of the poor if we would listen to His wisdom. BUT Jesus also said that the poor would be with us always and when we could, we were to do them good, BUT HE would not be with us always. He commended the woman who worshiped Him (rather than giving her extravagance to the poor). But our country believes we can push God out of government, out of schools, out of the public square, and we believe it's the government's place to give us our "rights". Our inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are diminishing with this administration, but we have been "given" the right to health care! Let's see there's been a right to HDTV programming and a right to privacy discovered in the constitution! There's a RIGHT to abortion even though that removes the "inalienable" right to life for the baby! People scream for rights for higher education, jobs, and daycare.
We have placed government above God as our provider. The sheeple swooned over the "cool" Obama who promised the world with absolutely no experience and no past record to back it up. As a matter of fact, it was pretty simple to see what he would really do by looking at his past statements, voting record, and his lifetime associations. This Obama was so much more radically and scarily liberal than any predecessor; it was evident in what he had said and what he had voted. This Obama was blasphemous as he pretended to speak the words of Jesus to convince the sheeple he was a Christian. Then there was the media that propped him up and never let anything be questioned. Why, even NPR said the guy was born in Kenya!! National Public Radio, the darling of the enlightened liberals, in an archived article said Obama was born in Kenya! Kenya also reported it on a number of occasions, but all archived articles have now been changed. See this report about NPR here. A Kenyan lawmaker told the nation's parliament last month that Barack Obama was born in Africa and is therefore "not even a native American."
During debate over the draft of a new Kenyan constitution, James Orengo, the country's minister of lands and a member of parliament for the Ugenya constituency, cited America's election of a Kenyan-born president as an example of what can be accomplished when diverse peoples unite:
"If America was living in a situation where they feared ethnicity and did not see itself as a multiparty state or nation," Orengo posited, "how could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the president of America?"
World Net Daily has a long list of documented inconsistencies regarding Obama's birth and his ineligibility to be president. When there were pending court cases before the election regarding his eligibility, when there were trial dates set for a president-elect and then a sitting president, there was nothing in the mainstream media. Was that not HOT NEWS?? Would it not have been the biggest news ever and the biggest news longest if similar things had come up regarding President Bush? Or what about Sarah Palin? Yet this media protects this president. The dirty deals of the health care bill, the take-over of student loans (in a health care bill?), the establishing of a new army of reserve corps (in a health care bill?), the take-over of the auto industry, banks, insurance - where's the media in all this?? This week we have the dis-arming of America in a very dangerous world and the continued snubbing of our best ally in the Middle East. Obama can say one thing while he is doing the exact opposite and the media just run with what he said! And the sheeple eat it up. Are they really sleeping? Or are they blinded and truly can't see?
I believe our Lord is making good on all His promises of what would happen if we didn't listen. I believe the sheeple have been blinded while He is using His servant Obama to bring about the destruction of America. I believe the last straw has been turning our back on Israel. The Lord said He would bless those who blessed Israel, and as long as we did, He put up with our sleeping on the other issues, but nap's over! People, it is time to see the truth, as time is running short! It won't be long and Jesus will return. Will we be sleeping as the five virgins in the parable?
