We have the Gay Bible or the Princess Diana Bible, as I think it is called, and now we have a Green Bible. I guess anyone can write a Bible to fit his own agenda! On the surface it makes me mad for all the reasons it should make any Christian mad. It's not at all about the inerrant Holy Spirit inspired Word of God or the Gospel of Christ; it's about environmental indoctrination. I can't help but wonder what they do with the Romans 1 scriptures that speak of those fools who profess to be wise and changed the truth of God to a lie and worshiped the created rather than the Creator. Or how about when Peter speaks of the scoffers in the last days, walking after their own lusts, who believe all things will continue as they have since creation, but the earth is reserved for fire for destruction of the ungodly. It is the prophetic Word of God and environmentalists aren't going to change it! But there is an awesome scripture in Isaiah where God says that His Word never returns void and it will accomplish what He wants and it will prosper where He sends it. So even from the mouths of fools, His Word will accomplish His purpose! Awesome!

3 Religious Opinions in the News This Week
There were three religious opinions reported on in the news this week that caught my attention. The Newsweek article is just an agenda push by someone who doesn't really believe the Bible, but just wants to try to use it against believers, not even realizing the idiocy of her arguments. But the other two reflect the sad state of Christianity today.
The evangelical leader, Richard Cizik, came out in support of civil unions, saying it was time to look at them differently and, "Give the biblical point of view a different slant." As if we flawed Satan-seduced humans can just take the Word of God and give it whatever slant we want and it will still be the Word of God!? That statement alone negates anything else Mr. Cizik has to say, but in addition to that, he has said that a candidate's character and party values are more significant than specific issues such as abortion and same-sex marriage. What true Holy Spirit-led Jesus-as-Lord Christian believes Jesus would agree with that one? His statements alone are all the commentary needed. But one more I found interesting is that he thought Sarah Palin lacked humility unlike Barack Obama. That one is astounding! It also proves how spiritually blinded he was if he could not see the arrogance of Obama traipsing all over the world giving speeches to the masses who had no part to play in his candidacy for U.S. President, or of his attitude when someone like Joe the Plumber dared to question his policies, or the fact he can't even be bothered to show his birth certificate, the proof of his eligibility for president, to the people he is supposed to serve. Yeah, quite a humble man that Obama! I think Mr. Cizik reflects the falling away that the Bible talks about in the last days. He probably once was a good evangelical leader. I don't know that for a fact, but I would imagine it to be so. Now he has become an "evanjellyfish". No spiritual backbone; when things get a little difficult standing for God's truth, he folds. Maybe he never had a backbone; maybe he never had the firm foundation in the first place, like President Bush.
President Bush could have been one of the all-time greatest Presidents. He appeared to love his Lord and wasn't afraid to say His name. He took his job of protecting this country seriously and has worked hard to keep another 9-11 from happening and he has succeeded. He succeeded in the war in Iraq. He gave us two great Supreme Court justices. His record on life is 100%. But I'm not sure there has been another President who has pushed us more toward the one-world government than he has. His policies regarding Israel, while on one hand profess to be Israel's friend, on the other continually strong-arm Israel into making more and more concessions. His open border and North American Union type policies have made great strides in stripping this country of its sovereignty. Then there is his big-government spending. Christians and pro-family-values voters came out of the woodwork to put him back in office in 2004 based on pro-family messages we never heard mentioned again after he was re-elected. I believe that is the main reason there was such an upset in the 2006 Congressional seats. Now he does this interview where he says the Bible is probably not literally true, but you can learn a lot from it! How completely and utterly lame! If the Bible is not completely true, who determines which parts are true and which parts are just good lessons from which to learn? And if it's not true, then you can slant those lessons any way you want like Mr. Cizik above suggested! If it's left up to individuals to determine what parts are true and what parts they want to use, then why have a Bible at all?? Would our Almighty God have done that? Left us a teaser and said you're on your own to the best of you individual abilities? Then when your best attempts conflict with others' individual interpretations, then that's just life. How stupid! But then this is the President who said that all religions pray to the same God. This is a guy who may have loved His Lord, but he had no solid foundation. Like the seed on rocky places that withered because it had no root, or the seed among the thorns that got choked out when the thorns were too thick, so is a man with no solid foundation in the Word of God.

God is Still in Control
In this madness of late where the media ignores the fact we may have a president-elect who isn't even eligible to be president, government bail-outs amount to 7 TRILLION and increasing every day, homosexuals rioting in the streets because they don't like the outcome of a marriage vote, and Planned Parenthood giving gift certificates to murder your baby, I am reminded of an email forward I received before the election. It is certainly applicable now and all the time:
1. The Bible still has all the answers.
2. Prayer still works.
3. The Holy Spirit still moves in the world today.
4. God still inhabits the praises of His people.
5. There is still God-anointed preaching.
6. There is still singing of praise to God.
7. God still pours out blessings upon His people.
8. There is still room at the Cross.
9. Jesus still loves you.
10. Jesus still saves the lost.
I have to admit lately I wonder about my political activism. I feel like I'm just along for the wild ride. BUT God is still in control and He isn't caught off guard by any of this. And people can still come to Him in the midst of it all. It may be too late to save this country from reaping what it has sown, but it's not too late for individuals to come to Christ and to be saved. Hallelujah! Praise His Holy Name!

No Freedom of Speech in Rains County, Texas at the Rains County Leader
I've been out of town for 2 or 3 weeks for a family emergency, but want to detail an experience I had on my way out of town on Friday, November 7, 2008. Barack Obama had just won the election and it was most troubling to me. I know as sure as I know anything that the majority of Americans do not believe in what Obama stands for. If everything was truly fair and there was not so much deception and bias and fraud, I KNOW Obama could have never won. I know that there were Christians all over this country praying HARD for the outcome of this election, but he won anyway, and that was very troubling to me. Even though I know most Americans don't want to kill live babies or to glorify homosexuality or to erase God from the public square, I'm afraid they have been lukewarm about it all. In Revelation 3:16, God said He wanted to spew the lukewarm out of His mouth. He hates lukewarm Christians!! I also know that God said He would heal our country if HIS people called by HIS name would humble themselves, pray, seek HIS face, and turn from their wicked ways. He didn't say that homosexuals had to change their ways; He didn't say the corrupt or wicked or atheists had to change their ways. He said HIS people called by HIS name - Christians. Christians are the ones who had to humble THEMSELVES, pray, and seeks God's face, and turn from THEIR ways. Christians are the ones who allowed this to happen. They either turned a blind eye to all that was wicked about Obama and voted for him anyway for some selfish reason or they were lukewarm and didn't care enough to stand up for what was right. Either way, I felt very strongly that Christians needed to think hard about what they had done. I wrote an ad for my local weekly newspaper. I learned long ago that the editor considered my opinions "controversial" and he often wouldn't print my letters to the editor, so I would just pay for an ad. On Friday, November 7, 2008, I went to the Rains County Leader office in Emory, Texas, to place a paid ad in the church section of the paper, an ad in the form of a prayer like the one I posted here on November 5, and the editor, Earl Hill, refused to accept a PAID ad. I realize freedom of the press doesn't mean he has to accept any ads he doesn't want, but I found it very interesting that even here in li'l old rural America, Texas, that the media wouldn't let anything bad be said about their anointed candidate, not even in the form of a personal opinion AD. Amazing!!

Father, Forgive Us for Electing Barack Obama
Our Father in Heaven, please forgive us for electing Barack Obama. We have been a wicked nation and we the people have turned our backs on You. We turned a blind eye to the million innocent babies murdered every year to the idols of lust and convenience, electing someone who promised to go farther than any president has ever gone to protect the slaughter, someone who promised to sign into law a bill that would federally guarantee a woman's right to kill her baby through all nine months of pregnancy, including a fully developed baby within days of birth. This law would abolish all existing state and federal limitations on abortion, including parental consent and notification laws for minors, state and federal funding restrictions on abortion, and conscience protections for pro-life citizens working in the health-care industry, protections against being forced to participate in the practice of abortion or else lose their jobs. We elected a man who will insist on our paying for the slaughter with our tax money. We elected a man who three times voted to refuse care to a baby BORN ALIVE after a botched abortion, allowing precious babies to die of starvation and exposure on cold hard shelves in back rooms of hospitals. How could we be so wicked?
Father, please forgive us for ignoring what you said about homosexuality. You told us to use the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah as an example to those who AFTERWARD lived as the Sodomites did! But we turned our backs on You and elected a man who not only vowed to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act that protects marriage as a one man/one woman union but who also wants to repeal the rights of states to decide marriage issues for themselves, thus paving the way for nationwide homosexual marriage. We didn't care that you called homosexuality an abomination but have voted to have it taught to our kindergarteners in school! We elected a man who wants to silence Your people who would dare to speak Your words about homosexuality through so-called "hate crimes" legislation and a so-called "fairness doctrine". We elected a man who supports legislation to make it illegal for an employer to not hire, or to fire, someone because of his sexual orientation, squashing the rights of any of Your people who may have a conscientious objection to hiring someone practicing what You called an abomination.
Father, please forgive us for ignoring Your word about all sexual immorality, and for electing a man who voted for sex education for kindergarteners, is against abstinence-only education, but supports tax-payer funded contraception. Forgive us for electing the ONLY person in the Illinois legislature at that time to vote to give good time early release to sex offenders. Forgive us for electing a man who voted against school boards installing software on public computers accessible to minors to block sexually explicit material.
Father, please forgive us for ignoring Your word and turning a blind eye to You, the Creator, instead worshiping the created world and denying that you had any part in its creation. We save the trees and kill the children! We elected a man who said he doesn't want intelligent design taught in schools, only evolution. Even though You told us NOT to look to the world, we elected a man who called us to be citizens of the world. We elected a man who blasphemed Your word, but we chose to overlook that. We were not ashamed to elect a man called the "Messiah", "God", "God-like", "the Savior", "the One", "an advanced soul", the "New Testament", "an evolved leader", "Son of Promise", "Child of Hope", a "Lightworker", an "attuned being", the "Platonic Philosopher King", and he has "a Tongue dipped in the Unvarnished Truth". People fainted in his presence, children sang songs to him, and paintings made of him depicted people kneeling before him. It was said that we would now have to measure time "Before Obama" and "After Obama" and that another chapter could be added to the Bible to chronicle the significance of Obama's nomination as president. You warned us about many antichrists in the world, but we ignored Your word and embraced the man who epitomizes this spirit more than any other ever has.
Father, please forgive us for looking to a man to save us. We chose to ignore Your words that You would provide our needs, but instead elected a man to give us all that we need and many things we desire. We had to turn a blind eye to the promise of continued innocent bloodshed and abominations and looked to a man for personal gain.
Father, You told us You would bless those who bless Israel, but we decided we didn't need Your blessings and elected a man who vowed to "stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction" and one who has now reportedly promised the Palestinians all of Jerusalem.
You told us in Your word to always seek You and love Your law, but just like your people in the Bible, we decided we wanted our own king to give us what WE want. Please forgive us for rejecting You! Please forgive us for ignoring Your word. Just as You gave Your people what they wanted when they decided You alone were not sufficient for them, just as You gave Your people meat when they decided Your manna was not good enough, we wanted more, and You have given us what we wanted. Please forgive us and have mercy on us for we knew not what we were doing.

On Election Day Nov. 4, Choose This Day Whom You Will Serve
It's Election Day and I pray that people will see this day for what it is, a day to choose whom they will serve - the Lord God or their pocketbooks. "God or mammon" the Bible calls it, and it says that you cannot serve both. You will love one and hate the other, but you will not and cannot serve both. I think it's odd that anyone would perceive Obama's policies as good for his pocketbook, but that is really beside the point. If you can turn a blind eye to the ungodly policies of Obama such as abortion including partial-birth abortion and the denying of care to a baby born alive after a botched abortion, or to the abolishment of all state DOMA's thus paving the way to homosexual marriage being the law of the law. God repeatedly spoke of how He hated the killing of innocent life and child sacrifice. He called homosexuality an abomination and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of it, and even warned nations in the future to use Sodom and Gomorrah as an example. If you can read the Lord's words and dismiss them for personal gain, then you have chosen mammon, and you do not serve the Lord no matter what loftier reason you try to give. I don't think you'll find any loftier reasons, not if you care about what God cares about. He told us to look to Him for our needs, but we have pushed Him out and looked to the government to supply our needs. He didn't speak too favorably about those who would worship the created more than the Creator, which is what we do when we seek to save the trees, turning a blind eye to killing the children. Perhaps you care about the poor, not for yourself! Jesus said you'll always have the poor, not always Him. And there will come a time when you can no longer come to Him because it will be too late. Perhaps it's the war and our young men dying. That may be a true heartfelt emotion but how do you compare adults who choose to enlist and fight for their country to innocent lives who never get a choice, and there are as many of those in a day as have been killed in all of the Iraq war! No way you slice it can you come up with godly reasons to support Obama, so if you do, you have made a choice, but it is not God you are serving.

Nietzsche is an atheist German philosopher who lived from 1844-1900 and together with others of the radical left of that time like Arthur Schopenhower created the intellectual atmosphere for Karl Marx and his Communist Manifesto. They called for changing society – but not to improve the life of people but to use them to gain power and keep it. He created the concept of "overman," the man stronger than others with the right to step over the weak, which attracted Hitler. The alternative to Marxism is not capitalism, as so many people believe. The only alternative is an answer to the spiritual fundament of this godless philosophy. The change they are talking about is no change but a steppingstone to their own power on the way to a totalitarian system. Socialist Hitler destroyed free society in a few months. Socialist Obama is close to his steppingstone. The following is an attempt to clarify the issue.
There is a fundamental difference between Marxism, provider of the socialist philosophy, and Christian teachings. The difference makes the two worldviews incompatible – in other words, you cannot be both. Whoever says that they are compatible either lies or is ignorant.
Marxists believe that a non-socialist society is to blame for what is wrong with people and therefore, change has to begin with those who are responsible for society, mainly "the rich." Others, not they, have to change, and the others are in the end all those who oppose socialism. People are either forced to comply or they are killed, as happened in Nazi Germany. If you put right what is wrong in society, so goes Marxist theory, you will heal injustice and people, products of a hostile society, will become their good selves. Healing is created by installing more and more socialists in office, socialist immorality and socialist programs.
Barack Obama has not touched corruption and moral issues. His plans for dealing with issues are of economic nature and are pure Marxism – blaming the non-socialist enemies and distributing money to bribe poor voters, making them dependent on government and cementing its power. Marxism's concepts lead to the welfare state – and on to a totalitarian system built on lies where government is central. There is no real concern for people; power is at the heart of all their projects.
Christianity teaches that what is wrong is the fallen nature of man, who gives in to the evil inside. Moral change in people and restoring the broken relationship with God will change what is wrong in society. Christian teachings are at the heart of our Constitution. Responsibility for oneself is a pre-condition for a healthy society. That is why America is special and prosperous. Government's task is to clear the way for initiatives of their citizens and not block it. John McCain and Sarah Palin's priority to clean up the government and bring it back to the people is exactly what America needs. They know, as we do, that Republicans, especially those at the center in Washington, are also responsible for ousting our Constitution from American society, with devastating consequences. John McCain and Sarah Palin are getting at this corruption, beginning with their own ranks. Their priorities are job creation, drilling and fighting inflation. They are pro-life and so is the Republican Party.
Sen. Obama answered the question of the Rev. Rick Warren regarding when life begins during a national television interview with "This is above my pay grade." I think he lied. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi stated, "I would say that as an ardent, practicing Catholic this is an issue that I have studied for a long time. And what I know is, over centuries the doctors of the church have not been able to make that definition. … We don't know. The point is that it shouldn't have an impact on a woman's right to choose." In Reply to Wordy, Part III
Wordy, I'm going to try to finish this up this time. You said:

I have to say honestly that it blows my mind that you think Republicans own the media! Then why aren't they for McCain and why does Sarah Palin get so beat up in the news for things like her clothes, her tanning bed, and her daughter's pregnancy? Christian organizations are ones fighting for decency on the air. Liberals are the ones who want all smut labeled as free speech.

I very much support people of all nationalities coming into this country through legal channels. I'm not supporting the rights of an unborn child because all men are created equal; I'm supporting life because the child is a person and no one has the right to take the life of an innocent child. Nor does my non-support of illegal activity mean I don't think those people are created equal. I don't support burglary, either, but it has nothing to do with thinking the burglar is not equal to me.

And, no, to be honest with you, I think the youth are too immature to know what is best for this country! I'm not supporting the rights of an unborn child because all men are created equal; I'm supporting life because the child is a person and no one has the right to take the life of an innocent child. Nor does my non-support of illegal activity mean I don't think those people are created equal. I don't support burglary, either, but it has nothing to do with thinking the burglar is not equal to me.

You want a president just because he has everything to prove?? But what will he prove?? Just as his own running mate said, we don't need a president who's learning the job by on-the-job training! And, no, to be honest with you, I think the youth are too immature to know what is best for this country! That is, unless they spend time in their Bibles, which is where God says He'll give them wisdom.

Yes, we may get Obama, as you said in your last paragraph that I decided not to print here, because this country has lost its way. It has turned the other way and ignored 46,000,000 million murders of the most innocent. God says the blood of the innocent cry out to Him and He will repay. He told us specifically to use Sodom and Gomorrah as an example should we find ourselves in that immorality. It's because he judged the sin and put the person out SO THAT HE MAY BE SAVED. To allow him to remain in the church continuing in his sin would have been detrimental to the church and to himself. Only God can judge the heart and He judges righteously, and He knows my heart and yours, and everyone else's. All I can judge are the fruits and my concern is with organizations like Matthew 25 and wicked leaders who seek to call good evil and call evil good as our Lord warned us about. They deceive the people into thinking that what they are doing is okay when it's not. My beef is against the deceit, not the people themselves.

A Canadian's Observation of Our Politics
I heard some remarkable comments by a guest on the Huckabee show on FOX on Sunday night. Her opinion wasn't so remarkable really to me, but remarkably interesting to hear someone from the outside looking in. Her name was Lynn and she was in the studio audience on Huckabee and had a question for Mike Huckabee and Joe the Plumber, who was a guest on the show. I found the video on the Huckabee site and have transcribed it myself, because I couldn't find a transcription anywhere else and I think it needs to be read by all Americans!
"Thank you, Mike. My question is for you and Joe, and I wanted to know...I'm visiting from Canada. I'm proud to live next to what I believe is the greatest nation in the world for doing good for others in your history. I understand the anger in the economy, but I don't understand its direction. George Bush has been a great president; he's kept you safe. For 7 of his 8 years, the economy was booming. Since the Democrats took Congress, looking from outside, I've seen huge increases in spending. Um, Mr. Bush has kept you safe. He's brought the war off your shore over to Iraq. Now he's bringing it home in victory. And again, you're such a great nation. You've freed a country over there. You've given the people hospitals and schools. Why are people angry at George Bush and the Republicans? And not Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, ACORN, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac?" The applause cut her off.
Amazing how this Canadian lady can see the truth and our country seems to be so blinded by hatred. The biased media that is no longer a real news source, but only an editorial, the liberal left media that hates Bush and wants a Democrat in office at whatever costs, no matter his corrupt past, no matter what, has fueled the hatred and blinded the people who will not look below the surface for the truth. I hope reading the words of someone from the outside looking in causes some pause for thought.

"The Messiah is Absolutely Speaking"
This is absolutely chilling! The words of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan spoken about Barack Obama:
"You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn't care anything about. That's a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking."
Just add this to a long list of similar statements liking Obama to the Messiah. How can they even speak these words? It's blasphemous! I just can't stand it! They surely can't be Christians because they can't possibly know what they are actually saying. The people listening and accepting these messages can't possibly be Christians or else they would understand what is going on. There is only one Messiah. When statements like this are made about a MAN, it can only be about the antichrist. And what Christian would want to be associated with the antichrist? Even if Obama is not THE antichrist, he is certainly of an antichrist spirit. One only need listen to his own words as he twists scripture to imply it condones homosexuality, or in this disturbing instance, listen to him sarcastically belittle the scriptures:
"Which passages of Scripture should guide our public policy? Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is OK and that eating shellfish is abomination? How about Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith? Or should we just stick to the Sermon on the Mount - a passage that is so radical that it's doubtful that our own Defense Department would survive its application? So before we get carried away, let's read our Bibles. Folks haven't been reading their Bibles."
Find the clip on You Tube and listen to it in his own voice and hear the irreverence. How could any Bible-believing Christian stand to listen to this guy? I want nothing to do with this blasphemy!

Can a True Christian Vote for Obama or Any Democrat, for That Matter?
I honestly don't see how, knowing the views and the party's platform. I would invite anyone who thinks otherwise to tell me how, but I would be willing to bet I could shoot down his/her argument. I don't think it can be done. I'm not talking about local elections. In some small towns there is still this thought process that one can only win if he's a Democrat if in a predominantly Democrat district. Thankfully, I know of two in my area who have decided they could no longer run under such an ungodly party title and switched to Republican, regardless of the decision's consequences on their elections. I am proud of them both for taking the right stand.
When the Republican candidate was first announced, I can honestly say I was not happy with the choice at all. I wasn't sure I would vote for McCain, especially not knowing who the Democrat choice would be. But even before Obama was declared the Democrat candidate, I had begun to come around to McCain. As a Christian, I did my best to look at things from God's perspective. What were the most important important issues? Undeniably, I felt they were life, the attack on traditional marriage, and the attack on God in the public square. I believe this is very Biblical. Interestingly, it falls in line pretty closely with our country's Declaration of Independence which declared the rights given us by our Creator: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Everyone has the right to life, everyone from the smallest baby to the oldest to the most severely disabled. Only God is the author of life. We have the right to freedom, and this requires a delicate balance, it seems, to allow various peoples with various customs to be free to live how they choose. We are free to pursue happiness, but we are not guaranteed a RIGHT to happiness; I think this is a very important distinction.
When I considered the life issue, knowing how important innocent life is to God, I could not deny that only McCain voted for life. Not only is Obama 100% pro-abortion and against any restrictions on abortion, even very practical restrictions like informing the parents or giving the mother all her options so she can make an informed decision! Beyond even that, Obama voted repeatedly to let a complete outside-the-womb born-alive baby DIE when that baby happened to survive an abortion attempt!
I also recognized how important the homosexual issue is to God. He called it an abomination! He destroyed cities because of it and even warned that their destruction was to be used as a warning to us in the future if we found ourselves drifting into such immorality. I see this country boldly embracing homosexuality as normal and natural and even promoting it as something to be celebrated and wonder how we can just ignore God's warning? Surely Christians cannot! Although McCain has not been as strong as I would like in defending marriage, he doesn't go as far as Obama who has said that he would repeal the Defense of Marriage Act that defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Obama also supports other pro-homosexual resolutions like hate crimes and employment discrimination acts where homosexuality is protected. People need to wake up and realize that these types of bills seek to give MORE protections to homosexuals than to the average Americans! We already have laws against acts of violence. Why should there be a greater penalty to someone who assaults a gay man than to one who assaults your elderly grandmother? When there is, does that not elevate the status of the gay man above the elderly grandmother? There are already laws against discrimination, but must a Christian-owned daycare be forced to hire a homosexual? Does that not elevate the rights of the homosexual above those of the Christian who no longer has the right to hire whom he chooses? Homosexuals have always had the freedom to do what they wanted in private and to get most jobs they wanted, especially if they kept their sexual orientation private. But they want to celebrate their homosexuality and force people to accept them because of it. Lots of people looking for jobs choose to try to keep aspects of their private lives private. People don't go into interviews celebrating the fact they go night-clubbing and drinking every night or that they do recreational drugs. They don't promote the fact they may be having adulterous relationships. It's silly to think that homosexuality should be treated any differently! No Christian should support a candidate or a party platform that seeks to elevate the status of homosexuals when God so plainly warned against it!
Thirdly, how can a Christian support the removal of God in public places? This is a subtlety that is hard to measure with vote records only, but once again, if you elevate the rights of the homosexual over the rights of a Christian, then you must silence the Christian who "offends" the homosexual with their views. This is what Hate Crimes, Fairness Doctrine, and Employment Non-Discrimination laws all seek to do - silence the Christian in the public square, on the public airways, in public schools, but while fully promoting homosexuality. What does a true Christian think God thinks of this?

When abortion was first legalized in the 70's, there was a question as to when life first began. With our modern technology, no one can question that a baby in the womb is alive from the beginning, so pro-abortionists have to come up with a new argument to advance their side. But what rational thinking person could ever really condone killing one life for the convenience of another? It's absurd! It's true, we all sin, and if a woman has chosen abortion, we do love and support her. If the decision is past, she can be forgiven as we can be forgiven for all sins if we repent. If the decision is in the making, the way to support her would be to attempt to change her mind by showing the error of her decision, just as anyone would try to stop a person from harming another person or themselves. Life is life and any true Christian knows that.
Christians have been told that to accept homosexuality is to be tolerant. Real Christians are quite tolerant of people, sinners, and love them enough to want to save them, as we all have been saved from destruction. Turning a blind eye is certainly easy but it doesn't help anyone. "Live and let live" can be a pretty selfish attitude, but there are times when this is appropriate, to be sure. That is the way this lifestyle has been dealt with in the past. All of us have known homosexuals in our past and we have lived among them. But Christians must understand that to advance the cause and promote the lifestyle beyond the rights of other Americans, which is most surely what Obama and the Democrat platform seek to do, is to ignore the very words of God!

Not to mention the fact that we were founded as a Christian nation and as a historical fact, we should be allowed to keep all references, but consider for a moment the references that could be offensive to a Christian. Where's the push to eliminate all references to Muslims, to witchcraft, to atheists, or even homosexuality, for that matter? Any attempt to believe that eliminating God is being tolerant is just being ignorant! It has nothing to do with being tolerant, but everything to do with just plain eliminating God, and no Christian should stand for it. Never mind that is what new age so-called Christians like Oprah and Obama and a host of TV pastors try to tell you. Christians, just read your Bibles!
Sometimes the arguers for Obama try to twist the debate to say that there are more pressing moral issues than life and homosexuality. Like global warming or saving our planet, for instance? Straight out of the Bible you will read what God thinks of people who put the so-called life of the planet above Him and real life! They try to tell us that global poverty is the greater moral issue. The Lord said the poor will be with us always, and while, as Christians, we should help the poor, it never trumps our Lord! They try to convince us that our pro-life stance is hypocritical because we send young men into battle and execute death row inmates, and they choose the loftier position to save our soldiers and convicted criminals! I won't even try to rationalize war and the death penalty, but obviously there were wars and criminals put to death in the Bible. Any rational-thinking person would have to agree that soldiers CHOOSE to be soldiers, at least at this time, and criminals CHOOSE their action, knowing the consequences, but an innocent baby does not have a choice. God has plenty to say about shedding innocent blood, and sacrificing children, and He hates it!
Any Christian who tries to use arguments about who's best for the economy or who will give us the best health care is using wrong-headed thinking, as well. Government-run, wealth-redistributing, socialized policies are anti-Biblical, but more importantly, we should never look to the government to be our savior, anyway! God says to look to Him first and He will provide. Any tither knows the way to financial stability; he trusts God with his finances, not government.
When all else fails, the tactic most often used by the so-called Christian who wants to vote for Obama anyway is to just ignore the facts! I have seen firsthand how ordinarily rational people will dismiss any argument against their precious Obama, and don't even want to listen. I guess that's the best way. After all, what you don't know can't hurt you, right? Well, at least ignorance is bliss, because then you don't have to contend with that nasty guilty feeling. And that is the reason the media, Hollywood, and the liberals in general, push this platform, and want to push Christians out, because Christians and their God and more specifically Jesus Christ, make them feel bad about their choices. Get rid of God and the Christians and get rid of guilt. But it doesn't really get rid of it; it just attempts to hide it, but that brings us back to "ignorance is bliss so I don't have to feel guilty". Christians should wake up, read their Bibles and seek God first, and NO, under no circumstances could they vote for the likes of Obama or even the Democrat platform, knowing the ungodly stands they take!

"Say It Ain't So, Joe"
I love folksy honest Christian Sarah Palin! What a breath of fresh air she is! What a bold confident stand she took against Joe Biden in the debate! Joe spewed fact after fact after fact at her, or were they actually facts? It seems Joe had quite a few gaffes, but does the liberal biased media ever notice a liberal's gaffe? Imagine if Sarah Palin had misspoken regarding the Constitution's articles defining the vice-presidency as Joe Biden did? It would be all over with proof positive that she was too dumb and inexperienced to be vice-president! But after 35 years of experience in the Congress, it's no big deal that Joe Biden doesn't know the basics of the Constitution he is supposed to uphold. Joe Biden flatly lied about McCain votes and when did "we kick Hezbollah out of Lebanon"? Sarah caught him in some of his flip-flops to the Obama side after he had formerly denounced the Obama position before he became Obama's running mate. I am convinced that the majority of the Americans are basically conservative or at least moderately so. They certainly are no where close to the extreme left side of Obama and Hollywood, but with the huge media bias, indoctrination, and fraud, a conservative has to win by a landslide to barely squeak out a win in this day and age. I pray for a landslide!

Is this not the creepiest candidacy in the history of this country? I just saw the 24-hour Obama channel on my satellite. There are these chilling videos on the internet with children singing the praises of Obama and militant youth marching to an "Alpha Omega" Obama chant. Quite reminiscent of Hitler's "He alone who owns the youth gains the future". And let us not forget his screaming chanting fainting crowds, his own presidential seal, and his replacement of the American flag with the big O. He is a blend of antichrist and Hitler. I don't believe Obama is THE antichrist, but there is definitely an antichrist spirit about him - his socialist one-world beliefs, his unbelievable arrogance, his irreverent references to Jesus and the Bible, and his constant lying spirit when he obviously knows they are lies. It's as if he thinks he is above it all; the lies can't hurt him, because the foolish peons will believe what they are told. If his followers could only see what he really obviously thinks of them. When someone is so arrogant to tell lie after lie with no thought of any consequence, is that not demeaning to his listeners? He gets unbelievable help from a media so biased, it can never be taken seriously again. Obama's unending line of terrorist, socialist, and communist associations are not news, but Sarah Palin's purchase of a tanning bed is! It's a joke, except that it is a sad truth. I have never before thought of this country as one with an oppressed people, but I am beginning to see it that way. When the views of the actual mainstream American people are seen, we see a moderately conservative people, but there is a maniacal push to conceal or ridicule it "if it rears its ugly head". There is an indoctrination of the people like I don't think we've ever seen in an election, and it is just chilling to me. WAKE UP, PEOPLE!

Wise in Their Own Eyes or At The Crossroads
I read with great interest an article demonstrating the stark contrast between Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin and Oprah Winfrey, often called the most influential woman in the world (and richest): http://solvinglight.com/blog/sarah-and-oprah/
By all outward signs (fruits), Sarah is a solid Christian woman. Oprah has declared herself a Christian, but her own statements tell an entirely different story. Oprah appears to have lost her way. I recall several years ago seeing her in an interview when she was being sued by the beef industry and she spoke of how she called on her Jesus to help her through her trial. Now Oprah seems to call on herself. She believes that truth is from within and that God is a feeling: "God is a feeling experience, not a believing experience. If God for you is still about a belief, then it’s not truly God." Interestingly, Jesus said, "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." Oprah believes there are many paths to "God", although Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." Oprah believes truth comes from within because she has awakened and evolved and she "gets it" and no longer misses the point of human existence and can therefore can declare as God, "I am that I am". She has called herself indestructible and immortal. Oprah obviously has to throw out the Bible, the infallible inspired word of God, to believe these things. And whose word does she embrace, but Satan's, as in the garden of Eden when he told Eve she could be as God, know truth, and never die. Oprah embraces her own essence and awareness; her salvation is within herself. It reminds me of the recent blog conversation I have had with a top 1% Mensa genius/atheist. He relies solely on his intellect. I quit arguing with him and refused to even read, much less answer, his last post. He will never understand. He can't. Only with the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth, can we know such things. Sadly, he and Oprah both are relying on themselves. They can't see that they are deceived by their father the devil, the father of lies, the murderer, taking as many with him as he can. We who know Jesus, follow Him as Lord, and are given the gift of the Holy Spirit, can clearly see with the help of the Heavenly Father's Word, the truth of these people who are wise in their own eyes. "Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight." (Isaiah 5:21) because "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." (Proverbs 14:12)
In the instance of Oprah, she is very influential, and can do much harm. When she recommends a book, it becomes a best-seller. She now recommends we vote for Barack Obama as President because he is an evolved leader, "the one". And he does truly appear to be as evolved as she is! He admonishes those of us who believe in the inerrancy of the Bible and says we must embrace more important universal values. He is not willing to allow what he calls "an obscure line in Romans" to define marriage for him. He doesn't want his girls punished with babies and will go as far as denying medical care to a baby born alive after a failed abortion, denying care until the baby DIES. He believes that sin is being out of alignment with his own values. He believes he is the one we've been waiting for and that with him, we'll create a Kingdom right here on Earth. Audaciously wise in his own eyes, if you ask me!

There are two quite different scenarios poised and ready to proceed forth. Which will it be? Lord, let us not be wise in our own eyes, let us look to You! Christian, take heart in knowing not all the country, not all the sinners, have to turn from their wicked ways, but God's own people, the Christians, are the ones He is asking to humble themselves and pray and seek His face and turn from their wicked ways. Let's pray for our country and pray for mercy! Let's pray for those wise in their own eyes who know not what they do or say!

A Tale of Two Celebrities
I read two interesting articles today and have been thinking and comparing and contrasting the two all day long. First was the sad news that the wonderfully gifted and seemingly anointed Christian song-writer and singer, Ray Boltz, has declared that he is a homosexual. He has left his wife of 33 years, with whom he had 4 children, and now declares that God made him this way and he feels closer to God now that he isn't lying to himself and has begun living who he is. I honestly have conflicted feelings. Well, not really. It's sad and I am in prayer for him, that he quickly repents and changes his ways. What I really don't totally understand is the ability to discern when a person is just backsliding and when he has "fallen away". But then it's not my decision; only God knows the heart, and I pray that Ray Boltz's heart and spirit will not rest until he comes to his senses! The flesh and the enemy Satan want to rationalize our behavior in an attempt to make it okay. But Boltz's argument is an obvious lie. God didn't make Ray Boltz homosexual, no more than he makes people alcoholics or pedophiles or arsonists or addicted to pornography, etc. We all are tempted by sinful behavior and that is what homosexuality is - a behavior, an act. While Ray Boltz may feel an attraction to men, he chose to give in to the sinful behavior and now tries to rationalize it.
On the other side of the spectrum, I read an amazing article about former Rolling Stone editor and dark thriller author, Joe Eszterhas (Basic Instinct), who has had a Damascus Road style Christian conversion. When he had been diagnosed with throat cancer, had 80% of his larynx removed, had to give up drinking and smoking and his wild lifestyle if he wanted to live, he felt he had reached rock-bottom, going crazy, jittery, trembling, irritable, and impatient with everything. He cried out to God and felt an immediate peace and the confidence that he could "defeat himself and win". He had seen the light of Christ and has never wanted to return to the darkness, refusing large offers to write dark movies. He is now writing a book about his spiritual conversion as "a thank you to God" and "to tell the world what He has done for me." It is a remarkable testimony.

Comments on the TRUTH
When I started this blog, I wondered about which comments I should allow. I certainly welcome thoughtful and reasonable comments and insights, even if they are not in agreement with my own. But I just deleted several comments that I found irrational, combative, and generally abusive. If you don't agree about an issue, let's discuss the issue, but to just blast a slew of hateful comments against the Bible and God and social conservatism all in one fell swoop is difficult to rationally discuss. Actually, it's rather stupid to even try. A person like that cannot and will not be able to see the truth. It's casting your pearls before swine (Matthew 7:6) to use another pig analogy as has been used of late! :-) As Matthew 10:14 says, "And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet." Jesus spoke in great detail about those who could not hear the truth and that was because they "are of their father the devil, and the lusts of their father they will do."
People don't realize that when they are choosing to not believe in God, they are choosing to believe in another god. It's interesting that they cannot see the truth in this. How can any rational person not see this? How can it be that the person himself is the author of truth for himself? It will always conflict with the "truth" of another, so how can both be true? It can't! Simple as that. There has to be a true author of truth; there has to be a basis for real truth or there is no truth at all. Obviously, a belief there is no truth at all would be chaos. So who is the real author of truth? The One who has been tested and challenged throughout eternity and still prevails. I know where truth comes from because I know this author of truth. I trust Him for all knowledge and wisdom. I trust Him with everything. I can tell you how to beat the blues. I can tell you how to be rid of money troubles. I can tell you how to be joyful in the midst of a troubled world. It's not about a secret formula; it's about a special relationship with the Lord of your life. And only someone who has experienced it will be able to understand, but it's as true as gravity - perhaps hard to explain but just as true. So to the person who made all the comments I just deleted, just because you can't see or believe in gravity, it's still true!

I Can't Judge, But I Can't Agree
Joseph Farah, the Christian founder of World Net Daily, has an article today encouraging people to take a stand and vote None of the Above in the presidential election.

I'm not sure that's a stand, but perhaps a non-stand. But I can't judge his motives. It's just like when Dr. James Dobson said this might be the first election he may have to sit out, I didn't really agree, but knowing his heart, I couldn't call him out as wrong. It seems now he may go ahead and vote for McCain because not doing so could give a vote for the alternative and that is unthinkable! But Joseph Farah says both options are unthinkable. I tended to agree for awhile. Then one day I thought about prioritizing what were truly the most important issues facing us and decided they were life first, the homosexual agenda second, and our borders and sovereignty third. Well, as the guy said in a song, two out of three ain't bad. Well, it still feels bad, but perhaps it shouldn't be. Those may be the only two issues McCain has going for him, but they are the most important. And the fact that there's no guarantee who he'll appoint for the Supreme Court. NO guarantee is a GOOD thing?? I'm not one of these naive enough to think he will give us conservative constitutionalist judges. Why would someone with liberal views choose conservative judges, no matter what he says!! BUT it's a guarantee you will get an evil Ruth Bader Ginsburg if you vote for Obama; at least we have a chance with McCain. But McCain's a wimp; he doesn't really take a strong stand on anything. Although they try to tell us he is solidly pro-life, he can make exceptions for junk science! :-( Although he says he won't support homosexual marriage, he won't support a federal marriage amendment, so it will happen, and plus, there's his stunt on the Ellen Degeneres Show, so he still panders to the left. So there you have it, I believe in voting for the lesser of two evils, but that means we still get evil. We lost the election when John McCain became our candidate! It will be bad whoever becomes our President, so I can't judge these people who don't want to vote for bad McCain. I WOULD however judge anyone who voted for Obama!! We are told to use a righteous judgment on issues like that, and when he so blatantly tramples God's laws, we gotta choose God over Obama!! And I still feel like we have to do whatever we can to keep Obama out of office. So many things are at stake now, I don't think we will ever recover from an Obama presidency. Think of how long and hard we have fought Clinton's veto of the partial birth abortion ban and it's STILL being fought!! And the bad unconstitutional ruling of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton can't be reversed after 35 years!! No, there's far too much at stake now that will take us completely and irreversibly over the edge. But God says He puts into power who He wants, and we definitely deserve whoever we get. It seems to be a matter of whether we race into destruction or take it a bit slower! And since God says He will shorten the end times for His elect's sake, I'm afraid we are doomed for Obama! :-(

Where is the US in End Time Prophecy?
I had been hopeful and prayerful we didn't have to go the route of the world and the one-world order. After all, the anti-Christ does appear to have opposition in the Bible. Couldn't the United States, that Christian nation, founded on God's moral laws, oppose the anti-Christ and not be a part of the one-world system and the mark of the beast? It's the main reason why I wanted to work with organizations like Concerned Women for America and be a Christian political activist and try to shine light on bad laws, to bring us back to our foundation. But it has never felt more like fingers in the dike, barely holding back a flood of destruction, than it does right now. Especially if we have an Obama presidency! Oh, McCain's not a lot better when you consider his UN views and open borders and shame-on-us-we-torture-prisoners mentality, but at least he doesn't stand for the pure evil that Obama does. This land is full of the blood of the most innocent sacrificed to idols of selfishness and convenience so that people can engage in lustful behaviors with no consequences, no "punishment with a baby" as Obama puts it. This guy not only believes in killing that innocent baby right up until the moment of birth, but if a baby is fully born because of a failed abortion attempt, he believes that baby should be left on a shelf to die! How do you get more evil than that? He claims to be a Christian, but he twists the words of the Sermon on the Mount to claim they advocate homosexuality???? Actually, he didn't actually use scripture to advocate it. He just created the illusion that it was there by referring people to the Sermon on the Mount if they had any problems with it. And people who don't read their Bibles and don't know scripture are in awe because Obama is a Christian who can make them feel better about their sinful choices! Well, what scripture does say is that we are to use the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah as an example to those who AFTERWARD live ungodly! Live ungodly how? Well, I would venture to guess as the Sodomites did!! But this country boldly presses onward with its "enlightened" tolerant views and wants to elevate homosexual behavior, what God called an abomination, to the status of God-ordained marriage! This country is bringing destruction on itself and doesn't see it.
Recently, I came across these verses in Revelation 18:9-11:
And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
Since there is no Babylon now, we have to assume this is a symbolic name for a place in existence now. For the first time, I saw the possibility of the US in that prophetic statement. What place on earth would cause all the world leaders to mourn at her demise? I have never given that a lot of thought. But it doesn't seem there would be too many. A few scriptures later in Rev. 18, it speaks of what a rich city she was and of the merchants who were made rich by her. Her own merchants were the great men on earth but by her sorceries all the nations were deceived. ALL the nations were deceived? What place has that much influence? I'm not sure I know the answer, but it certainly gives me pause for serious thought. The prophetic scriptures speak of a city, Babylon, but as Babylon may be symbolic, I wonder if "city" is, too. What about the home of the U.N., the place that Mayor Bloomberg called the "capital of the free world"? It makes me uneasy, especially knowing the audacity this country has in trouncing all over God's moral laws. "How much she has glorified herself...." says Rev. 18:7. She is so wicked and she doesn't even see it. *sigh*

A Most Sobering Email
I received the following email today from Irvin Baxter's Endtime Ministries:
Wow! I can't deny it; I do believe we are living in the end times, but these are some rather sobering facts. But the MOST sobering fact is not mentioned here. You Were Born for Such a Time As This!
Can any born-again Christian deny that we are in the end-times? The wars, famines, earthquakes, and other disasters; the Godlessness in the last days, the falling away from the faith, and the false prophets and anti-Christs; the gospel preached around the world, the coming one-world government, technology for the mark of the beast, and Jews coming to Christ in record numbers; the increased persecution and tribulations of Christians. Well, consider the fact that our Father knew us and called us before we were born and determined when and where we would be born. Then were we not all who are living now, born for such a time as this? Wow! An awesome thought, isn't it?

2 Interesting Quotes in the News This Weekend
Bill Clinton: Americans "are in fact hunkering down in communities of like-mindedness, and it affects our ability to manage difference."
Robert Redford: IF Barack Obama doesn't win November's presidential election in the United States, "you can kiss the Democratic Party goodbye".
Bill Clinton's comments sound a lot like Obama's earlier comments about us clinging to our guns and religion. The news took it as him warning about the country becoming increasingly polarized. I find it interesting that any time Bill Clinton complains about others, it is the exact same thing HE does or has done! When did the real polarization begin? Was it not with the Clintons and their battle with the "vast right-wing conspiracy"?? But I say, yes, indeed, we should be polarizing, as more and more the Democrats stand for evil and everything against the Bible and truth. They call good evil, and evil good. It's good to kill babies and evil to speak against homosexuality. It's good to worship "Mother Earth" and Allah and evil to even speak of Jesus in the public square. It's good to protect the rights of pornographers and child molesters and those on death row. It's evil to protect speech rights of Christians in the public square. You name it, and they're on the wrong side of it!
I have hope that God may be using his servant Robert Redford (sort of like his servant Nebuchadnezzar or his servant the donkey) to speak a prophetic word! I hope Obama doesn't win and I hope it destroys the Democrat Party! THEN we'll have to work on the Republican Party that is quickly losing its conservative basis. Christians must come out of the woodwork to take an unwavering stand against the evil and uphold God's laws upon which this country was founded!

The Insanity of the Global Warming and Environmental Movements
I have long felt the man-made global warming hysteria was based on a lie, but I heard something today I just couldn't believe, something that takes us beyond stupid; it's just insane! The information has actually been out there for a couple of years, but I didn't know it. We are having this debate right now about drilling off our coasts. They are talking about drilling 50 miles off our coasts, but still the environmentalists say NO. But today I find out China and Cuba are drilling 50 miles OFF OUR COASTS, but we can't?? How exactly are we saving our seas from man if everyone else can still use them, only we can't? Just like the insanity of the US perhaps having more reserves than ALL of the Middle East, but we prefer to be dependent on them. WE could be suppliers to the world, perhaps even get out of debt, and be a real sovereign independent nation, but NO, that's exactly the opposite of what the insane environmentalist movement wants. I don't believe that THEY even fully realize what they want or WHY they want it. Oh, they can say because it's a WORLD problem, we have to work with the world, be a part of the world, and quit being the arrogant bully of the world. Seems to me if we just left the U. N. and the world to itself and just took care of ourselves, we couldn't be accused of bullying. But anyway, anyone who knows his Bible and the TRUTH knows that we are not to be of the world, not to be conformed to this world, and especially not to a one-world government! I have become convinced that when these things just don't make sense, it's obvious it's spiritual! People are blinded into thinking they are doing what's good and right and cannot see otherwise. But Bible-believing Christians know the truth even though those wise in their own eyes do not.
More of the insanity that proves it's really not about saving our planet - If Al Gore and the like really believed that the world is going to burn up in 10 years, would he continue to fly private jets and burn 20 times more energy in his home than the average Americans do? And don't give me the "carbon credits" garbage. If this really were a crisis, would waving money at the jet give us more time? How about the insanity of burning our food for fuel? Once again don't give me the garbage about it being a different kind of corn or the part we don't eat or whatever else they say. Even IF that were completely true, and I'm not at all convinced it is, it's still a fact that if farmers are using their fields to grow more corn for ethanol, then they aren't growing food and what will that do to our food supply? Then they are making us use light bulbs that will save the environment because they last longer and use less energy, BUT they have dangerous mercury in them and just where do environmentalists think those old broken light bulbs will go, but to landfills polluting our environment. If it's really our beautiful pristine lands that the environmentalists are concerned with, then why aren't they screaming about what illegal aliens are doing to our beautiful deserts in the Southwest? Maybe nothing because keeping open borders plays into the one-world agenda. The insanity of the movement's actions proves it must be based on lies. This is about something much bigger!! And Christians need to wake up to what is happening! There doesn't appear to be much time left when you consider how quickly events are unfolding.
More of the insanity that proves it's really not about saving our planet - If Al Gore and the like really believed that the world is going to burn up in 10 years, would he continue to fly private jets and burn 20 times more energy in his home than the average Americans do? And don't give me the "carbon credits" garbage. If this really were a crisis, would waving money at the jet give us more time? How about the insanity of burning our food for fuel? Once again don't give me the garbage about it being a different kind of corn or the part we don't eat or whatever else they say. Sodom and Gomorrah as an Example?
And what about Peter's declaration in 2 Peter 2:6 that "...turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly..."? Sodom and Gomorrah was to serve as an example and yet we boldly glamorize and seek to legalize homosexuality with no shame or remorse in the pretense of love and tolerance and non-judgment of all people. We DON'T judge people by the color of their skin or their gender, but we DO judge actions! Do we allow premeditated murder? Why is it okay to discriminate against murderers? Do we allow incest or pedophilia? Why is it okay to discriminate against pedophiles? Homosexual behavior is not to be encouraged or promoted, but like any indulgence in any kind of sexual immorality, it should be resisted. "Flee sexual immorality" says 1 Corinthians 6:18. Our God said Sodom and Gomorrah was to serve as an example, but we think we can just ignore Him and not suffer any consequences? We support candidates who will see to it that we become Sodom and Gomorrah and we cheer them on? Not to mention the most innocent blood shed in our land which God several times warned against and also made examples of what would happen to those who shed innocent blood. Yet we think we can rationalize that, too. We will see the wrath of God if we continue in this direction! I think that is why so many seem so blinded; I believe hearts are hardened and we are on our path to destruction. Lord, please have mercy on us, although I know we don't deserve it!

Deceptions of False Leaders
My Bible reading last night was in the letters of Peter. Some of the scriptures really gripped me! Like 2 Peter 2:10 and 15-21, for instance.
...and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries,...For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
I can't help but think of the Obama phenomenom, but actually this applies to the liberal pastors leading their congregations astray, as well. I think of Obama's speech where he almost ridiculed the Bible and Jesus's Sermon on the Mount, obviously despising God's moral authority! And does he ever speak great swelling words of emptiness! I believe he is the very definition of this scripture! While he promises freedom or "change"...he will lead them into corruption. Horrible corrupt laws that he twists to sound good and moral. He's the worst when it comes to abortion! Not only does he believe in late-term abortions, but believes in letting a baby born alive after a failed abortion, die on a shelf! He assures homosexuals he will be working for them! His terrorist ties and pattern of comments show his disdain for this country, and in his very words, he said he would stand with the Muslims should the political winds change. Calling evil, good; and good, evil. And the scary part of the scripture and what I have witnessed myself with people I know, he is alluring people who are Christians. It looks like born-again Christians who know their Lord and Savior! And I've sadly seen it myself, and seeing what this scripture says about it is scary! It also kinda blows a hole in the whole "Once saved, always saved" argument, I do believe. But that's another topic.
There doesn't seem to be anything bad enough that this guy can do that will turn his followers against him. I personally had an encounter very recently where I just forwarded an article by the Jerusalem Post. Now those guys (Israelis) are watching Obama like hawks! They report on his every terror tie and every lie that we seem to want to overlook and I found that very interesting and wanted to share it. I could not believe how I got blasted by two people just for sending an article, a third party's opinion. The responses were so ugly, and so out-of-character, that it was rather shocking. And there has been no reconciliation since then. Why on earth would saying something about just a man be so offensive? A man that cannot be questioned? Cannot be touched? I always wanted to hear all sides about the candidate I was supporting, and you would think any rational thinking person would. At least hear and decide upon the merits yourself. But none of his followers want to accept any bad news. I realized then that this is truly a spiritual battle. And those scriptures seemed to reinforce it. There is a spirit of anti-Christ at work here. I don't believe Obama is the anti-Christ, but the Bible says there are many anti-Christs, and this definitely looks like one. His arrogant attitude and belittling of scripture, but this ability to speak swelling words that sound good anyway to the blinded people who don't want to see. And they will turn back to wicked ways, and be lost. We must pray for these people, and Obama himself, who is surely being led by the wrong spirit!
